Our Story
How It Started
BUSE Tequila was born in an unlikely moment — a group of friends with African, African American, and Haitian roots, raising glasses through Zoom screens in the middle of the COVID lockdown. After long days and endless uncertainty, those virtual happy hours became a lifeline. We logged on searching for something real when very little felt that way.
Tequila was always in the glass.
But we saw a gap. Tequila asked you to choose: something refined to sip, or something loud and fleeting. We wanted both. So we went to Jalisco — to the sun-drenched agave fields that have defined the spirit for generations — and worked with a master distiller to build something worthy of every moment we’d been saving up.
A sipping tequila crafted for celebration and reflection alike. For the rooftop toast and the quiet end of a hard week. For closing a deal, welcoming a child, honoring a homecoming, or simply an evening of laughter that you’ll still be talking about years from now.
Welcome to BUSE.
